This morning met Emna,a student who had recently passed her marketing exams,down on the seafront.Emna was compering and coordinating a PDP( Tunisian socilist political party)event; noticed a couple of the organisers quite agressive towards eac other;strange!

Celebrated my birthday at Sale de Manger

On Thursday I celebrated my birthday at the Sale de Manger restaurant,12 of us,later on in the evening dinner with Kaithe and Janet at the Vieux Bon Temps restaurant in La Marsa.

Death by beanshoots?

Well the source of the E-Coli outbreak was tracked down to a farm in northern Germany and it seemed that the cause of the mutant E-Coli was beanshoots but suddenly it was annouced that it wasn't the beanshoots so back to square one.
Well I've met a few people today:Tatyana's mum,who was puzzled by important info from
the BC being in French and not also in English,Marwen my landlady's son,Anne-Marie and Sarah having a stroll on the beach.I called mum,she's going to go back to BT and ditch Talk Talk and later on while on the beach gave Claire a quick call to see how she was.
Now in the cafe Kom Koi,very calm and relaxed here with the laid back music.

Death by cucumber!

At least 20 people in Germany have died from the batteria E Coli through them eating cucumber;other salad vegetables:tomatoes and lettuce have also been infected with this new mutant of E Coli.Initially the blame was put on cucumbers from Spain resulting with a ban of imports of vegetables from Spain.However,the source of the E Coli outbreak seems be from a source in the north of Germany.Spanish farmers dumped loads of vegetables in anger at this mistake and are seeking compensation.Russia has banned all imports of vegetables from Europe.
E-Coli has hit Britain,though at the moment appearing in people who had recently visited Germany,and four Germans in Britain.

Yesterday spent the day studying,well a little bit,then strolling on the beach;actually sad and disappointed with Manchester United in Champions League Final-Barcelona outclassed United.Maybe next year!

Spain latest country to be hit by mass demonstrations

Spain is the latest country to be hit by anti-austerity demonstrations as hundreds of people camped out last weekend,despite the law forbidding any kind of demonstrations before elections ,which the socialist government badly lost.
Meanwhile in Tunisia the curfew was lifted last week.One of my Cameroonian students told me he had attacked last week,a group of Tunisians had tried to rob him and his friends;one of his friends was critically injured and is in hospital.
It seems many foreigners are worried about their safety here and are planning to leave Tunisia.Not long ago many prisoners had escaped from prisons in the south of Tunisian.Where are the police? No security here!

This morning the US shuttle Endeavour finally took off ,it will be on its final mission, taking a 2 billion dollar particle physics experiment to the International Space Station.
