Spain latest country to be hit by mass demonstrations

Spain is the latest country to be hit by anti-austerity demonstrations as hundreds of people camped out last weekend, despite the law forbidding any kind of demonstrations before elections ,which the socialist government badly lost.
Meanwhile in Tunisia the curfew was lifted last week. One of my Cameroonian students told me he had attacked last week,a group of Tunisians had tried to rob him and his friends;one of his friends was critically injured and is in hospital.
It seems many foreigners are worried about their safety here and are planning to leave Tunisia. Not long ago many prisoners had escaped from prisons in the south of Tunisian.Where are the police? No security here!

Curfew time again in Tunis!

The curfew in Tunis continues; last Saturday while on my way back home to La Marsa I suddenly received the news that a curfew had been announced. This was a result of the recent violent demonstrations in the centre of Tunis on Friday and Saturday. The 7.30pm classes at the British Council have been cancelled as the start time-9pm-of the curfew means it’s extremely difficult for the students to get home.

On Thursday an earthquake struck the southern city of Lorca, nine people were killed; it seems they were in the street when they were hit by falling masonry.

Meanwhile many Syrians continue to be killed in the brutal crackdown by President Assad; so far over 800 innocent unarmed people have been killed.

One more point

Who needs Cristiano Ronaldo?Old Trafford's latest hero'Chicarito 'Javier Hermandez got Manchester United off to a flying start in their decisive match against Chelsea with the opening goal in the 37th second,Vidic added a second thirty minutes later.Although Lampard got a consolation goal late in the second half United's 2-1 victory means they just need one point from their next match to win the Premier League.
